Kusumi Shuzo is famed for being the sake factory that revived the Kame no O, a rare ancient strain of sake rice that went extinct in 1952. Kame no O is famed for making delicious citrus-y sake.

Kame no O is heralded as one of the tastiest sake hailing from Niigata. The rice that is used to manufacture the Kameno O Junmai Daijinjo, it’s namesake, is infamous for being one of the hardest to grow sake rice in the history of nihon-shu brewing. This sake promises a rich fruity scent, with complex flavors.
